The History of Victory Assembly

Our current church enjoyed its modest beginning in 1999.  Many years earlier, God had planted the desire to build a new church in the heart of Brother Leon Davis and his wife LaVonna, who later worked in conjunction with Brother Randy Mitchell and his wife Sharon, to start the new ministry endeavor in Siloam Springs.

They began in a rented storefront building in town on North Carl Street by the post office.  A pulpit, some pews, a communion table, and an altar were purchased, and sixty-three people assembled for the first service.

The new church was called Faith Chapel and began to grow as God blessed in various ways and rewarded the faith and hunger of the fellowship.  The new sanctuary was soon built at its current location where the church has been meeting to this date.

A few years after the inception of the church, a transition in leadership occurred and the membership selected Brother J. D. Beckett to be their pastor in 2001.  The name of the church was changed to Crossroads Revival Center and a strong emphasis was placed on renewal and special meetings promoting a hunger and thirst for a sustained “move of God” and an "atmosphere of revival."

The strong pulpit ministry and dynamic sermon delivery of this great man of God influenced the lives of so many people during his tenure in the pulpit of this church. Regrettably, Brother Beckett was called home to glory and to his eternal reward in December of 2015.

The spirit and culture of the church has remained consistent through the years and the Pentecostal emphasis and anointed singing and ministry is still the focus in each and every service.         In August of 2016, Brother Carl W. Clark became the new pastor.  At that time, the membership of the church voted unanimously to change the name of the church to Victory Assembly and to affiliate with the Assemblies of God denomination.

Most of the members had a past experience with the the Assembly of God fellowship, and the original intentions of the founders was for the church to become an Assemblies of God church.  This seemed to be the logical course of action for those involved.

The future of the church is very bright as it prepares to write the next chapter of its story. The goal is to create a church atmosphere “Where Everyone Can WIN!”

May God bless you, and please be assured that you are welcome here; and your future with us can become our history together!
